The Importance of Backend Marketing

Filed in: Internet Marketing by admin on 07-15-09

You may think you have done every knick and every knack of internet marketing so it may come as a surprise to you why you’re not as successful as you hope for. Well have I got news for you! If you haven’t thought about backend marketing, you actually haven’t done “everything” just yet. You must have noticed how the industry is jammed with competition so you must have known already that for you to survive in this business, you should keep up with the trends and take the lead while you’re at it. Never let your competition leave you behind. Thus, you need to invest in backend marketing.

As mentioned earlier, it is easier to make sales from an old customer than from a new one. Marketing estimates state that eight out of 10 old customers will most likely buy from you again given that they are satisfied with their bargain. These people know what it’s like to use your product and this will serve as a basis for them to believe that what you offer is reliable and really functional.

For this reason, it is very important for you to take care of old customers. They are your business’ foundation. Building strong and lasting relationships with them will help you out more than you know. These people are the ones who will almost certainly avail your new products when you offer them. More than that, since they have already tried your products out, they are already familiar with your product line. Their responsiveness to your products’ changes will help you evaluate your products so you know how and what to adjust if necessary.

Give loyal customers perks, discounts, and privileges to make them come back and buy from you over and over again. One good approach many marketers make is by offering big rebates to their customers. This is a proven way of attracting more customers, keeping the new, and also reviving the inactive ones.

Inactive customers are more important than it seems. Remember, these customers have already tried out your products in the past. A little push and a little reminder are what they need to resume making business with you. Give them a call or email them information about the privileges you offer. This almost always catches their attention and gives them reason to start buying from you again.

It is true that your business cannot just start and end with the same product. You should keep on providing your customers with fresh solutions every time. Give them something to look forward to and they will definitely keep on coming back for more.
